The Aston Martin Rapide mimicking Lotus Eterne
You’ll have to stick with this if you’re going through these in chronological order. There was no way we could seriously do one story on all of the Lotus announcements today, so you’re getting one for each. Sort of.
The guys in Europe will have first crack at Lotus's first all-new production car in more than a decade. Assembly of the Evora is under way, with deliveries of the 2+2 mid-engine coupe beginning in May. North American will have to sit tight until the Evora lands here early next year.

When we first reported that Aston Martin were buying in the Toyota iQ to turn it in to a ‘Mini-Me’ Aston Martin – the Aston Martin Cygnet – we were pretty sure that AM were for real, even though they did call it a Concept. That feeling was more than affirmed a couple of weeks ago when Aston Martin released a few official pictures of the Cygnet and gave us some production targets – 2000 a year in Europe. But only sold to existing AM customers.
